Aliaksandr Lukashenka was shown the actions of a joint Belarusian-Russian group of «Polonez» and «Iskander» missile systems at the «Asipovichski» training ground.

According to Lukashenka’s press service, he was informed about the creation of a joint group of missile forces, which includes the Belarusian «Polonez» multiple rocket launchers and the Russian «Iskander» short-range ballistic missile.

«An electronic launch of missiles was carried out at the range by a joint group of missile forces,» the press service said.

It was noted that the «Polonez» and «Iskander» systems performed excellently during the exercise.

The «Polonez» MRLs were developed in Belarus. Chinese A200 missiles are used for them. The range of the MRL is up to 300 km. Belarus intends to provide the systems entirely with its own ammunition. Apart from Belarus, the «Polonez» systems are in service of Azerbaijan.

«Iskander» is a Russian tactical missile system designed to destroy enemy air defense and missile defense systems, as well as critical facilities covered by them at ranges of up to 500 km.
