Russian military equipment continues to be spotted in different regions of Belarus, most of the reports come from Gomel and Minsk regions. It is noteworthy that this week, Maxar Technologies published satellite images taken on January 4, which show Russian troops near Rechitsa, Luninets and Yelsk.

These images are a direct confirmation not of movement, but of the deployment of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border. We tell you where Russian troops were seen over the past week.

Gomel Region

On the afternoon of February 1, a convoy of 20 Russian trucks with 87-region numbers on license plates (Central Military District of the Russian Federation) was seen on the M5 Minsk-Gomel highway.

A Russian train with military equipment was moving towards Yelsk on February 3 in Kalinkavichy. At the same time, several military trucks with Russian license plates were shot in Mozyr.

The next day, on February 4, military equipment with Russian license plates was spotted near the village Ziabrauka, 10 km from Gomel. The publication Reform.by received a video of the movement of Russian troops in this area.

There were at least 27 armored vehicles in the convoy: BMD (infantry fighting vehicles), APC (armored personnel carriers), including BTR-MD «Rakushka», self-propelled artillery gun-mortars «Nona-S». Part of this equipment is used only by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

On February 7, a pontoon park was spotted in the Rechitsa district on the M-10 highway in the direction of Kalinkavichy, which belongs to the engineering troops of the Russian Federation. This is a PP-91M (Pontoon Park–91 modernized model) on the chassis of a four-axle KAMAZ designed to equip bridge crossings for loads of 60 tons and ferry crossings for cargoes of 720 tons. There is also information that this week Russian troops were seen in Naroulya and Khoiniki.

Minsk region

On the morning of February 1, a convoy of Russian military equipment with the 50th region on the license plates (The Western Military District of the Russian Federation) was seen in Machulishchy. About 15 Russian KAMAZ trucks were moving in the convoy, which was accompanied by traffic police cars. The same day, a Russian military KAMAZ was spotted near Staubtsy on the M1 highway.

A Russian train with military equipment was seen on February 2 in the Stsiapianka microdistrict of Minsk. A little later, the Russian train was seen in Kalodzishchy.

The same day, on February 2, a Russian train was seen carrying a division of S-400 «Triumph» surface-to-air missile systems in the Kurasoushchyna microdistrict of Minsk.

There were also 90Yu6 vans on the platforms, universal mobile towers 40V6 and loader-transport vehicles based on a four-axle Ural. It is known that the S-400 missile systems arrived in Belarus from the Khabarovsk Krai. In addition, the same day, a convoy of Russian military trucks was spotted near Slutsk.

Another Russian train with military equipment was seen on February 3 in Kalodzishchy. 4-5 passenger cars were also attached to the train, in which, probably, personnel were transported.


On the morning of February 4, local residents noticed another train with military equipment and passenger cars in Zhodzina. It was reported that it was driving towards Minsk. On the same day, a train with Russian military equipment was also seen on the Fanipal-Dziarzhynsk railway line.

Another Russian train also crossed Kalodzishchy on February 4. «Typhoon-D» armored vehicles, BTR-82a, BREM-82, Kamaz and Ural trucks were transported on the platforms. On February 4, a Russian military echelon was spotted near Barysau.

A column of Russian military equipment was seen on February 5 in the area of Berazino. The video shows R-149AKSH-1 mobile radio, Tigr with automatic grenade launcher (AGS) and Kamaz 5350 moving along the M4 highway towards Mogilev.


The same day, columns of Russian military equipment were seen on the M5 Minsk-Gomel highway, as well as on the MKAD-2 near the village Obchak. It is noteworthy that, in addition to Russian trucks, Ford and Toyota Hilux jeeps were also moving in the convoy along the MKAD-2.

It was also reported that a column of Russian military equipment was seen in the Uzda district. The equipment drove along the N-23444 highway on Tsentralnaya Street in the direction of the R23 highway and on the R23 highway  in the direction of Slutsk. According to sources, there were about 40-50 units of equipment in the convoy.

On February 6, another train with Russian military equipment passed through Kalodzishchy. In addition, it is reported that military tents appeared near the railway tracks in Kalodzishchy.

Grodno Region

A column of Russian military equipment was seen On February 5 near Grodno, which was moving towards the regional center. Russian «Tigr» and Kamaz trucks were moving in the convoy.

Vitebsk Region

On February 5, a large column of Russian military equipment with the 50th region on license plates (the Western Military District of the Russian Federation) was seen in the Orsha district. Kamaz 5350, white Ford, Mitsubishi and Toyota Hilux jeeps, armored personnel carriers (APC) and Tigr with automatic grenade launchers (AGS) were seen in the convoy.


A small column of Russian military equipment was spotted on February 6 in the Talochyn district on the M1 highway, and on February 7, military equipment was seen in Orsha.

Mogilev Region

A column of Russian military equipment with Russian military Kamaz 5350 and Ural-4320-31 was seen on February 3 in the Asipovichy district. The next day, a Russian train with military equipment passed through Mogilev.

On February 5, a convoy was also seen on the M-4 Minsk-Mogilev highway in the direction of Minsk, Russian «Tigr» with AGS and Kamaz were moving in it. Also on February 7, the Russian train passed the railway station «Drut» in the Belynichy district.

Brest Region

On the morning of February 5, a column of Russian military equipment was moving along the highway near Mikashevichy towards Minsk. Kamaz 5350, Tigr-M and Ural-4320 were moving in it.


It is also worth noting that on January 4, Maxar Technologies managed to take satellite images of the Russian camp near the Luninets airfield.

Accumulation of military equipment can be seen in the photos, as well as Su-25 attack aircraft. In addition, if you look closely, you can count more than 50 tents for military personnel. If we consider that each tent can accommodate about 50 military, it turns out that about 2,500 military personnel can be near the Luninets airfield.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reported several times this week on the conduct of drills at the «Brestski» military training ground.

In addition to Belarus, the equipment also continues to be spotted in Smolensk. On February 4, a train with Russian military equipment was shot there, which was standing in the direction of Belarus. In the photo you can see: BMD, BTR-MD, EW RB-531B «Infauna», EW LEER-2, as well as various Kamaz trucks. Apparently, the equipment belongs to the airborne troops of the Russian Federation.
