The first units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, involved in the inspection of the rapid reaction forces of the Union State, arrived in Belarus, TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Belarus and Russia will conduct an inspection of the rapid reaction forces, during which it is planned to work out the organization of command and control of troops during their deployment, countering strikes by enemy air attack weapons and other issues.
The inspection will end with the drills «Union Resolve — 2022» on February 10-20. Russian troops began arriving in Belarus on January 17. The Russian Federation is transferring to our country two battalions of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and a division of Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, as well as 12 Su-35 aircraft.
