The Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus confirmed the extradition of Belarusian Dmitry Podlobnikov from Russia.

The official report of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus says that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation approved the request of Belarusian colleagues to extradite Dmitry Podlobnikov for criminal prosecution.

Earlier, the European Court of Human Rights banned the extradition of Podlobnikov.

Belarus is accused under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus of violence and threat of violence against employees of internal affairs bodies. It is reported that he has been in custody in Belarus since December 31, 2021.
