Tsikhanouskaya and Western diplomats honored the memory of Kastus Kalinouski

On February 2, on the birthday of Kastus Kalinouski, the national hero of Belarus, Lithuania and Poland, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya together with Western diplomats honored his memory at the Rosa cemetery in Vilnius, the office of the Belarusian politician reports.

Julie Fisher, the U.S. Special Envoy to Belarus, Nicolas de Lacoste, the Special Envoy of France to Belarus, Asta Andriauskiene, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, and representative of the Polish Embassy in Lithuania also laid flowers at the place of his burial.

The ashes of Kastus Kalinouski and other rebels were found in the ground on Mount Gediminas in Vilnius in 2017 and solemnly reburied in a chapel in the cemetery of Rosa on November 22, 2019.
