Siarhei Laurushchyk, a 59-year-old political emigrant from Belarus, died in a serious accident near Warsaw.

An accident involving a minibus and two trucks occurred in the afternoon on February 16, Warszawa.naszemiasto.pl reports. According to preliminary information, the driver of the minibus hit the back of a truck trailer, after which another truck collided with the minibus. The minibus driver Siarhei Laurushchyk died.

Siarhei Laurushchyk was creating a private museum in his home in Navahrudak. After his active participation in the protests he was searched, the exhibits of the museum were recognized as weapons, and the man left Belarus under threat of criminal prosecution.
