We recall that Aliaksei Kudzin is an MMA fighter, multiple world champion in kickboxing and Thai boxing. On August 10, 2020, he was arrested in Maladzechna and got shot during the arrest.
He spent two weeks in the Maladzechna police department and Zhodzina pre-trial detention center, and was later released under house arrest and on his own recognizance not to leave the country. The «trial,» which was supposed to begin in November 2020, did not take place because Aliaksei Kudzin left the country. He was found in Moscow, arrested and extradited to Belarus. He was recognized a political prisoner.
The «court» sentenced him to 2,5 years in prison. At the end of December 2022, Aliaksei Kudzin was released.
