Europe and Germany also support the building of cases under universal jurisdiction to stop lawlessness. At the end, Maas said that the voice of the democratic forces of Belarus should be heard at the Eastern Partnership Summit.
Zbigniew Rau, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, said that Belarusians paid a huge price for their dream, people died. In his opinion, in terms of expanding the sanctions list, Europe and the United States should be united, and European politicians should not allow the return of the status quo that was in Belarus before the 2020 elections.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the leader of the democratic forces, in her final speech reminded European politicians that Europe cannot be safe while Lukashenka is in power.
«He’s not credible. We must remain united. We must to be consistent. We must remember that there are millions of Belarusians who strive for freedom and count on us».
