A monument to Kalesnikava, Tsikhanouski and other Belarusians will be installed in Warsaw

A  sculpture dedicated to the «heroes of the Belarusian revolution» will be installed in the park of Szymanski in the Wola district of Warsaw, Gazeta Wyborcza reports.

A famous Polish sculptor Pawel Althamer is working on the monument. The installation called «Alley of the Rising Sun» will consist of seven aluminum figures of activists who are in prison now. They will be depicted walking with their heads held high, as if they had just been released.

The sculpture will depict Maria Kalesnikava, Siarhei Tsikhanouski, Andrzej Poczobut, Angelika Boris and other Belarusians.
