Official Minsk plans to hold a number of measures with Russia to cover the southern borders of the country. This was stated by Viktor Khrenin, the Minister of Defense, following a meeting with Lukashenka.
He noted that in 2022 Belarus and Russia do not have major exercises planned like the West or the Shield of the Union. At the same time, «a set of measures for the medium term to cover the southern borders of Belarus» is planned.
«We plan to hold the exercise together with our colleagues, the main strategic ally – the Russian Federation», – Khrenin said.
According to motolko.help, today the 6th Separate Guard Mechanized Brigade, which is located in the military town of Folush near Grodno, should move to the border in full force with a full set of weapons. Judging by the available information, it can be assumed that the tank brigade will go to the border with Ukraine.
