Today at 18:45, in the Telegram channel of Radio Svaboda — Belarus appeared the first message «RadioShame stops its broadcasting on the territory of the independent Republic of Belarus and goes to Belarus of Change. You can read about how the administration of RadioShame reached the trough of Vranak here: The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zheltiye Slivy , GUBOP, Pool of the First». It has been duplicated many times. There were also screenshots with a list of channel administrators.

At 18:55, the messages and the screenshots with the list of administrators of the channel were deleted.
At 19:06 a message from the editors appeared in the channel: «Friends, we updated the access to our channel!
We are sorry for such a situation».

Late evening, it was known that Andrei Kuznechik, a freelancer of Radio Svaboda, was arrested on November 25 in Minsk. It is reported by the editorial office. Kuznechik’s wife told that a man went out to ride a bike, but soon came back guarded by four people in civil clothes.

«They didn’t say either who they were, or where they came from. I was told to go to another room and take care of the children, not to worry. The search was quite «intelligent» – my belongings and the children’s belongings were not touched. They took all the devices and Andrey’s phone, my mobile phone and my tablet, money. Andrew was ordered to get dressed and go with them. He was not allowed to take anything with him, except for spare pants. They said that they would take him for a short time, for a couple of days»,– said Alesya Rak, the wife of Andrei Kuznechik.
We remind that access to the svaboda.org website was blocked on August 22, 2020. During the election campaign and after the elections, journalists of the Belarusian service of Radio Svaboda were repeatedly detained, some received administrative arrests and fines. In the fall of 2020, all journalists were stripped of their accreditation. On July 16, 2021, security forces broke down the door in the editorial office. Three journalists – Ales Dashchinskiy, Inna Studzinskaya and Oleg Gruzdilovich – were detained, but released after 10 days.
The Belarusian service of Radio Svaboda is a subdivision of Radio Liberty, which is a part of the structure of Radio Liberty — Free Europe and is funded by the United States.
