«We strongly recommend our compatriots who will travel to Belarus to stay away from the border areas. In addition, as in other countries, the smuggling of people/refugees in our country is a crime under the Criminal Code. The illegal activities of criminal organizations are under close supervision both by our country and by the competent authorities of Belarus. In order to avoid undesirable situations, as well as criminal prosecution, it is important not to succumb to false promises and immediately report to the competent law enforcement agencies of our country about the proposals received and the actions committed that violate the law», – the Turkish Embassy said in a publication.

It is noteworthy that this statement was made the day after the meeting of Mustafa Ozcan, the Turkish Ambassador to Belarus, with Nikolay Snopkov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. And at the end of October, the embassy held a reception on the occasion of the Republic Day, which was attended by Vladimir Makei, Ivan Tertel, Andrey Savinyh, Dmitry Yaroshevich and Sergey Aleinik.
