This is reported by the White House. It’s about a package of unilateral sanctions, which was introduced in 2006 under the U.S. President George W. Bush (Jr.). Since then, they have been periodically extended.
The statement says that Washington still considers «the actions and policies of certain members of the Government of Belarus and other persons» to be an extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
