The yacht «Stefania», with an estimated value of €8-10 million, has been put up for auction in France. The details, as reported by the French publication Monaco-Matin, are more interesting.
According to the journalists, this yacht was confiscated from a «Belarusian billionaire» (name is not disclosed) within a money laundering investigation between France and Italy.
Earlier, in October 2023, the Italian Il Secolo XIX wrote about the arrest of the yacht «Stefania» in the docks of the Sestri Ponente marina (Genoa, Italy). Then it was written that according to the investigation, the yacht belonged to a «financier of Belarusian origin» and sailed under the flag of the Cayman Islands.
The investigation was conducted by the French party and involved two other ‘compatriots’. It is known that two days before the arrest, the yacht had left the port in Antibes, France, where it had a permanent berth, and was due to go to Dubai.
