The number of Belarusians who requested international protection in Poland increased in 2021. Belarusians have submitted almost 2300 applications in a year. 1150 of them were approved, according to the Office for Foreigners of Poland.

Belarusians are on top of the number of applications for international protection submitted. In total, 7700 foreigners applied with such a request. The share of Belarusians among them is 29.3%. Citizens of Afghanistan are the second (23.2%), and citizens of Iraq are the third (18.2%).
