Cosmos TV ISP sent out an SMS message asking to be vaccinated in connection with the growth of COVID-19 «due to the stay of citizens from the Middle East»
«Given the significant increase in COVID-19 infections caused by the temporary stay of citizens from the Middle East in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, minzdrav.gov.by recommends taking a vaccine against COVID-19«,– the SMS says.
The publication «Smartpress» contacted the support service of the Internet provider Cosmos TV, where they confirmed that the company really sent a message and answered in the affirmative to the question that the SMS were sent at the request of the Ministry of Health.
However, a notice appeared on the website of the Internet provider that contradicts the words of their support service. On the website of Cosmos TV it is said that there was a technical failure of the SMS-mailing service and some users received a message «with incorrect content». The publication Reform.by reports that the company was informed that «SMS messages of a false provocative nature were the result of external technical introduction to one of the servers of COSMOS TV.
«The sources of this technical provocation are being established. Once again, we apologize for these false reports«, – Cosmos TV said.

Later, the information about SMS with calls for vaccination was commented on by the Ministry of Health of Belarus in its telegram channel.
«The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus does recommend vaccination against influenza and COVID-19, but the Ministry of Health has nothing to do with the messages that have come from Cosmos TV. Take care of yourself and your relatives!«, – said the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus
