Gazprom booked direct pumping of gas through Poland through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline for the first time after a 43-day pause, TASS reports, citing GSA Platform.

12.5 million cubic meters of gas will pass through the pipeline from 00.00 to 08.00 Moscow time.

Gazprom has not booked gas pumping through Yamal-Europe pipeline since December 21, as reported, due to the lack of applications from consumers in Europe. Gazprom did not book capacity for a full day on February 2, but the next opportunity to book pumping for February 2 will be with Gazprom at intraday trading at night.

Gazprom’s permanent contract for pumping gas through the Polish section of Yamal — Europe ended in 2020. After that, the capacity of the gas pipeline is distributed at auctions. Annual, quarterly, monthly, daily and intraday auctions are held. Gazprom did not book the capacity of the Polish section at the annual auction in 2021.
