The head of the Military Transport Faculty of Belarusian State University of Transport, Colonel Aleksei Poddubny said that all Belarusian students would study military training from September 2024.
He said that the number of studying hours and the general program, according to which students will study the disciplines of general military orientation, are being determined now.
However, back in May this year, the Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that the initial military training would be introduced in universities from the new academic year, that is, from September 1, 2023.
At that time, Khrenin also said that a joint document with the Ministry of Education had already been adopted, and studying hours had been allocated for the special course. Now Poddubny says that they are only determining the studying hours.
