During the discussion on security in Europe at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya said that Belarusians do not want to become enemies of Ukrainians because of Lukashenka’s decisions, the majority of Belarusians support Ukraine.

«We don’t want to become enemies because of terrible decisions of illegitimate Lukashenka,» Tsikhanouskaya said.

During the discussion at the forum, where the presidents of Poland, Lithuania, North Macedonia and the head of the Spanish MFA also participate, Tsikhanouskaya recalled that since the beginning of the war, the Belarusians:

Informed the Ukrainian side about movements of troops in Belarus;

— Rail partisans disrupted railroad control systems to delay Russian military cargo trains.

And Lukashenka provides Belarusian territory for Russian aviation and training of Russian units. Tsikhanouskaya also stressed that the Belarusian army does not want to die or kill on Ukrainian territory. Lukashenka knows that Belarusians and Ukrainians do not want to be enemies, which is why he is afraid to send Belarusian troops to Ukraine.

As for the presence of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Belarus, according to Tsikhanouskaya, it is aimed at controlling the country and drawing Ukrainian forces away from hot spots in eastern Ukraine by creating a threat from the north. The task is to prevent this attack.

«We want the world to divide the Belarusian people and the Lukashenka regime,» Tsikhanouskaya added.
