The American company Motorola Solutions did not stop cooperation with the Belarusian security forces after August 2020, and it even seems to have increased. This is confirmed by a large number of tenders on the public procurement website, the customer of which is the Department of Finance and Logistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The company Motorola Solutions does not appear in the auction, everything happens through the official distributors of the company, one of them is LLC Friendly, which posted on its website: «In our company, you can buy a radio station of the American manufacturer Motorola Solutions, the official representative of which we are».
It turns out that Motorola Solutions is aware of who and where it supplies the equipment to.
In addition to LLC Friendly, the companies ALC Akmit and ANICO Communication Trading and Servicing Ltd, which is registered in Hungary, appear in tenders for the purchase of equipment for the Department of Finance and Logistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The editors of motolko.help have information about at least four purchases since August 2020 for the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:
- 26.10.2020 — Purchase of digital radio in the amount of 71 000 BYN;
- 13.11.2020 — Purchase of radio in the amount of 220 400 BYN;
- 12.12.2020 — Purchase of wireless headsets in the amount of 325 000 BYN;
- 24.02.2021 — Purchase of radio stations in the amount of 3 872 065 BYN.
In most cases, they try to hide it carefully. It is possible to understand that we are talking about Motorola Solutions, also by internal bidding documents, where one of the delivery conditions is the compatibility of «new» radio stations with Motorola radio stations.
The company also supplies the Belarusian security forces with equipment for monitoring radio signals in a wide range, concealed carry antennas, batteries to them, etc.
For example, in March 2020, the Ministry of Internal Affairs purchased:
- original broadband antennas with the ability to receive navigation signals PMAD4147A Motorola;
- Original ¼-wave broadband antennas on magnetic base HAD8437A Motorola;
- original antennas on magnetic base PMAN4010A Motorola;
- original microphones-manipulators RMN5052A Motorola;
- original microphones RMN5054B;
- three-wire black audio headset with acoustic tubes PTE-885 M09.
And this is not a complete list of only one purchase.
The fact that the company knows where it supplies its products to is confirmed by the fact that they do not make any contact with representatives of the Belarusian diaspora.
