Lithuanian border guards noticed a drone in the Salcininkai district on the evening of February 3. The quadcopter flew into Lithuania from Belarus. It was seen that a load was attached to the device.
Border guards used electronic equipment to forcibly land the drone. The drone dropped the cargo, continued the flight and landed two kilometers from the Belarusian border.
It turned out that the quadcopter was homemade and transported 1,000 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps. The operator of the drone was not found, the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania reports.
