Yesterday it became known that Belarusian political activist Dzmitry Bareichuk died in Poland.He had a wife and four children.

In 2020, Dzmitry collected signatures for Viktar Babaryka, a candidate for presidential election in Belarus. For this, he was arrested for 24 hours. After that, the security services conducted several searches in their house and in 2022 Dzmitry was taken to a temporary detention center, where he became a suspect in two criminal cases. He was complaining there about abdominal pain, and later it turned out that the man had a tumor.

The family decided to leave Belarus and Dzmitry underwent surgery abroad. The prognosis was good, but the disease took its toll. Dzmitry Bareichuk died on May 8 abroad.
