Military activity on the territory of Belarus on March 14 / Belarusian Hajun
General conclusion
In general, we can talk about the end of the second major rotation of units of the Russian Armed Forces that have completed the training and combat coordination course at the training grounds of the Belarusian Armed Forces. We recall that we recorded the first rotation in January 2023 (the main phase was from January 5 to January 14).
Units of the Russian Armed Forces trained in Belarus were transferred by trains to the combat zone, and new soldiers arrived at the training grounds instead. The second rotation took place chronologically from February 24 to March 10 (the main phase was from February 24 to March 4).
We note that units of the Russian Armed Forces were leaving/arriving in Belarus with their military equipment. For this reason, we recorded both import and export of tanks and artillery systems.
The rotation of part of the Russian contingent of the so-called regional group of troops indicates that the Russian Armed Forces have no task to accumulate their forces in Belarus. Therefore, Russia is not planning to conduct an offensive operation from the territory of Belarus in the short term. The function of Belarus in this case is to be a training base for the Russian military. And the deployment of the so-called regional group of troops should «justify» the presence of the Russian military in Belarus.
Changes in the size of the group of the Russian Armed Forces in Belarus: no data.
