On February 11, seven batches of finished meat products, beef, beef offal, mackerel and seafood imported from Belarus were destroyed in Smolensk region of Russia.

Seven cars were traveling from Belarus, bypassing the official phytosanitary posts. During the inspection, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) staff found out that the carriers had no supporting documents for the goods. In addition, the cargo was transported in unsanitary conditions with violations of temperature regimes. The entire cargo weighing 3.1 tons was destroyed, Rosselkhoznadzor press-service reports.
