The exact reason for the landing in Russia is still unknown, but it appears that the plane has a technical malfunction. According to our information, previously one of the technical malfunctions of the EW-513PO was the failure of the cooling fan of the technical compartment, and also this plane has a constant problem with the auxiliary power unit not working.

A replacement plane (EW-514PO) has already flown to Astrakhan to take the passengers of the broken aircraft and is expected to arrive there at around 14:00.

UPD. According to @aviaincident, the Belavia plane (EW-513PO) landed at the Astrakhan airfield due to the failure of one of the engines. The message about it was received by e-mail at 01:47 Minsk time.
