Deoccupation of the country and free elections: Tsikhanouskaya announced creation of the United Transitional Cabinet

Today Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya announced creation of the United Transitional Cabinet, which includes four representatives, among them a well-known lieutenant colonel-deputy Valery Sakhashchyk.

In his first speech, he made a number of important statements and said that his goals are to «deoccupy the country and hold free elections.»

For a period of six months, the Cabinet includes:

▪️Pavel Latushka – representative for the transit of power;

▪️Aliaksandr Azarau – representative for the restoration of law and order;

▪️Valery Kavaleuski – representative for foreign affairs;

▪️Valery Sakhashchyk – representative for defence and national security.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya named the goals of the United Cabinet:

  • Defend the independence and sovereignty of Belarus, represent the national interests of Belarus. Carry out the de facto de-occupation of Belarus;
  • Restore constitutional legality and the rule of law;
  • Develop and implement measures to thwart the illegal retention of power, ensure the transit of power from dictatorship to democracy, and create conditions for fair and free elections;
  • Develop and implement the solutions needed to secure a democratic change in Belarus.
