Today, a train derailed in the Unecha district (Bryansk oblast, Russia) at the 136th kilometer of the Bryansk-Unecha line. According to the Governor of this Russian region, an unidentified explosive device went off the rails and as a result, the locomotive of the freight train derailed. Russian media reported that it was the train with 60 cars.
According to the Community of railway workers of Belarus, this happened at 10:17 on May 1 on the railroad of the line Unecha-Rassukha. As a result, the 2ТE10U-0064 locomotive with the number 16343113/16343105 derailed after an explosion. This locomotive is assigned to the Tch-8 depot in Homiel, it was built in 1990.

The Community of railway workers of Belarus writes that there are concerns about the condition of the Belarusian crew that operated the locomotive mentioned above.
“Given the damage to the locomotive caused by the explosion and the complete absence of any anti-trauma technical means in the driver’s cabin, the statements of Russian officials about the absence of casualties in this incident are questionable,” the Community writes.
