The Rada of Belarusian Culture reports that the Belarusian State Academic Theater for Young Audience may be headed by Vera Palyakova, the actress of theater and cinema, the wife of the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Uladzimir Makei.
Last year, she said that Pavel Latushka, the former head of the Kupala Theater, allegedly «wiped his feet on the oldest theater in the country and destroyed it» and then said that the actors of the theater, whom Latushka brought out were not sheep, «probably understood what they were doing. And I’m not a sheep.»

Now Palyakova may replace the dismissed director of the Theater of the Young Audience Uladzimir Savitski, who presented such performances as: «Maiho Yunactva Kryly» (based on the poem by Arkadz Kuliashou), «Mikhalava Zyamlya» (based on «Novaya Zyamlia» by Yakub Kolas), «Zatsyukany Apostal» (based on the play by Andrey Makaenka), «Sny ab Belarusi» (based on the poetry of Yanka Kupala) on the stage of the Theatre.
The reason for Savitski’s dismissal could be that in December last year, he prepared a play «Cantrolnaye Sachynienne.» Before the premiere, the theater’s social networks reported that the show was postponed due to the illness of the actors. However, the actors themselves reported that the play may have been removed from the repertoire.
