We continue to cover the events at the Belarusian-Polish border. Online is conducted in chronological order: the latest news will be from below.
Yesterday, Belarusian border guards led a group of Kurdish migrants to the border with Poland. Armed security forces blocked the road to the border crossing and pushed the migrants into the forest, from where unknown people with the help of axes and pliers began to break the fence on the border with Poland. In response, Polish border guards sprayed pepper gas. In the evening, shots were heard in the air: according to our sources, they shot from the Belarusian side, the official authorities of Belarus claim that it was the Polish side.
At night, stones were thrown at polish police and about 500 migrants were sent to the border with Lithuania
In the evening, the migrants set up a tent camp near the border with Poland.
According to the Polish police, at night stones were thrown at the police officers several times from Belarus side. One police car was damaged. Overnight, however, the migrants made no attempt to cross the border by force.
The Lithuanian publication Delfi reports that last night Belarusian border guards transferred about 500 migrants from Kuznitsa to the border with Lithuania, near the village of Kadysh, where they set up a camp. According to the publication, the migrants were brought by armed Belarusian border guards in military vehicles, who prepared «tourists» to cross the border.

Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland, and Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, held a telephone conversation this morning on the situation at the Belarusian-Polish border. «The topic is obvious: the attack of the Lukashenko regime on the Polish border», – said Jakub Kumoch, Secretary of State of the Polish President Office, about the conversation.
In addition, the Polish media, citing Pawel Jablonski, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, report that Poland does not exclude seeking help from NATO due to the migration crisis.
12:05 — Armed people from the Belarusian side shoot a machine gun in the air?
Videos from the border zone appeared on the network, in which people in uniform with machine guns are visible, and shooting is heard. Belarusian propaganda publishes them with the unsubstantiated claim that the Poles opened fire on the refugees.
We have a reason to believe that Belarusian border guards are shooting.
First, from the Polish side, the situation looks different: cordons, shields, and military equipment are built along the fence. And in the video with the shooting, only few people with guns and equally few migrants are visible.
Secondly, in one of the videos you can hear Russian speech. It was published by one of the migrants. In the video, people are at the fence of the outpost, and there are several people in uniform behind it, presumably Belarusian border guards. One of them lifted the machine gun into the air and fired. And at the beginning of the video, you can clearly hear someone saying in Russian:
«These are fine too».
13:15 – Kurdistan Parliament sends delegation to border
