More than 10,000 Belarusians have applied for a residence permit in Lithuania in six months

More than 10,000 citizens of Belarus applied for a residence permit in Lithuania in the first half of the year. Belarusians were issued 10,116 documents. This is reported by LRT.

As of July 14, more than 4,4 thousand requests were being processed. Only two Belarusian citizens were denied a residence permit in six months. A total of 10,487 applications from Belarusians were filed in January-June. In Lithuania, the application processing period for a residence permit takes up to four months, so some of those who received the documents in 2022 applied for it last year.

Belarusians also apply to the Lithuanian employment service. According to LRT, 320 of our compatriots are registered as unemployed. In six months, the employment service helped 177 Belarusian citizens living in Lithuania to find a job.
