New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta said that the country imposed sanctions against 27 individuals and entities from Belarus due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

According to the list published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, Aliaksandr Lukashenka and a number of officials of the Ministry of Defense, such as the Assistant Minister of Defense for Ideological Work Leonid Kasinski and the head of the ideological department of the Ministry of Defense Vadim Lukashevich, came under sanctions.

In addition, sanctions were also imposed against 4 legal entities: State Authority for Military Industry, Synesis, OKB TSP and the company Defense Initiatives.
