The head of New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nanaia Mahuta announced the imposition of further sanctions against representatives of the regime in Belarus and Russia, who support the illegal invasion of Ukraine.
The website of New Zealand’s government says that Lukashenka’s wife and son came under sanctions. It is not yet clear which son came under sanctions, as the sanctions list on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand has not yet been updated.
In addition, it’s reported that today’s sanctions also apply to four entities of economic or strategic relevance to Russia in the oil and gas, steel and transport sectors, as well as radar and electronic equipment systems.
We remind that in May, New Zealand imposed sanctions against Aliaksandr Lukashenka, the State Military Industrial Committee, Synesis, OKB TSP and the company Defense initiatives.
