The infographics of the Telegram channel «Science Opinion» show that over the past 5 years, the average salary in Belarus has not changed much, the legendary «$500» appeared on the horizon only once — in 2019.
At the same time, salaries in Poland and Lithuania are growing steadily. When in 2015 in Lithuania people earned $806, then in 2020 already 2 times more. When in 2015 the average salary in Lithuania was twice as high as the Belarusian one, now it exceeds the Belarusian one by more than three times.
At the same time, it must be taken into account that the infographics use the data of the Belarusian Statistical Committee, which do not always reflect the real situation in Belarus, and independent statistical institutes do not have accreditation and may be persecuted for their activities.
