Army General Valery Gerasimov, the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, arrived in Belarus.
According to TASS, he will verify the readiness for the exercises «Union Resolve – 2022», which should begin tomorrow. They will be held until February 20 and will complete the inspection of the Union State’s rapid reaction forces.
Earlier, Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Defense of Russia, had already visited Belarus. Together with Viktor Khrenin, the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, he observed an episode of combat readiness at the «Brestski» training ground.
