Minsk is ready to participate in discussions with the West on Russian security guarantees. This was stated by Sergei Aleinik, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus, RIA News reports.
“We expect substantive discussion of Russian initiatives (on security guarantees) both in bilateral and multilateral formats. We are ready to take an active part in this process,” he said at the conference “Collective Security in a New Era: Experience and Prospects of the CSTO,” which is taking place today in Moscow at the “Valdai” international discussion club.
He also said that Belarus welcomes any constructive proposals aimed at reducing tensions in the world.
