The marine units of the Eastern Military District worked out the detection, blocking and destruction of illegal armed formations in urban areas at the Training Ground «Obuz-Lesnovski» near Baranavichy, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports. Facilities imitating city buildings and structures were equipped on the site.
The servicemen also worked out the identification of potential places of traps installation and improvised explosive devices, covert movement as part of groups, and performed live firing. When camouflaging firing positions, special attention was paid to the skillful use of improvised means.
We remind that today the «Union Resolve – 2022» joint exercise with Russia started in Belarus. The purpose of the maneuvers is to suppress and repel external aggression during a defensive operation, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State.
