The Ministry of Defense of Belarus published the schedule of «Union Resolve – 2022» drills on February 16.
Today, Russian motorized rifle units are to enter concentration areas in the «Mozyr» and «Rechitsa» areas. They will practise combating sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a conventional enemy and illegal armed formations.
Units of the Belarusian mechanized brigade must destroy an enemy penetrating defense and carry out raids at the «Gozhski» training ground.
Belarusian special operations forces will block and destroy enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and an illegal armed formation at the «Brestski» training ground.
Belarusian mechanized brigade together with Russian marines will conduct a training fight on defensive lines near Baranavichy. Anti-aircraft warfare units will cover the troops from enemy air strikes.
Near Asipovichy, a training battle to destroy a tactical airborne landing of a conditional enemy is conducted by units of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Missile and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces are on combat duty.
Near Luninets, Russian surface-to-air missiles (SAM) are engaged in covering troops. Attack aviation of the Air Force of the Russian Armed Forces is practicing air support of defending troops using air defenses at the «Ruzhanski» airfield and «Asipovichski» training ground.
In the «Gomel» area, special operations forces and the Russian Airborne troops are engaged in guarding facilities and practicing blocking and destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the conventional enemy and illegal armed groups.
Training and combat tasks within the framework of the exercise is performed in the areas «Maryina Horka», «Pinsk» and «Palesski».
