Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland, will meet with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya tomorrow, it’s stated on the website of the Polish president. It is reported that the meeting will begin tomorrow at 12:15 at the Presidential Palace.
«Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is the leader of democratic forces of Belarus and represents a significant part of Belarusians. We perceive her as a person who speaks on behalf of the Belarusian people. We appreciate the fact that the entire Belarusian opposition behaved very solidly towards Poland during Lukashenko’s hybrid operation and that it clearly and directly told the world that the dictator bears full responsibility for the crisis at the border. We, in turn, have clearly stated that Poland is in dispute with Lukashenko, but not with Belarusians», – Jakub Kumoch, State Secretary of the Office of the President of Poland, said.
In addition, the Secretary of State said that the situation in Belarus and Poland’s support for democracy in Belarus will be the main topic of the Polish President’s speech at the Summit for Democracy, which will be held this day in Washington.
