Over the past month, several tenders have appeared on the public procurement website, which indirectly confirm deforestation in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.
What is purchased:
- Forest loading and transport machine MPT- 461.2 (150 000 rubles) link;
- Telescopic loader (334 000 rubles) link;
- Multi-saw single-blade machine with the lower location of the saw assembly (150 000 rubles) link;
- Passing- type miter saw (70 000 ruble) link.
The total allocated funds for the purchase of equipment only for these tenders are 704,000 rubles ($ 279,912).
In all cases, the customer is the state environmental institution Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, and based on internal documents it becomes clear that the equipment is purchased for 2 wood processing shops that are located on the territory of the national park: WPS «Kamenyuki» (produces pallets, pallet and container blanks) and WPS «Shereshevo» (small-scale timber).
It is also worth noting that all tenders are placed in the period from July 30 to August 20. The question arises: for what purposes did the park need to immediately purchase so many equipment at the WPS, which have existed for more than a year?
By the way, back in January, we showed how the area of forests in national parks changed from 2001 to 2019, and even then we noticed that the saddest situation was developing in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
