Aviation activity

  • Aviation activity was recorded at Machulishchy, Lida, Baranavichy and Barautsy airfields. Training flights of aircraft and helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force and Russian Aerospace Forces were held.
  • Flights of A-50U AEW&C aircraft and MiG-31K of the Russian Aerospace Forces were recorded at Machulishchy airfield.

Most likely, this is the rotation of units of the 103rd Airborne Brigade of the Belarusian Armed Forces, which protect the border with Ukraine. The previous rotation took place 2 months ago.

General conclusion

The conclusion on the situation made in the report for February 6 remains valid.

Since the beginning of March 2022, units of the Belarusian Armed Forces have been providing additional protection of the border with Ukraine on a rotational basis. On average, units stay in the border areas for 2-2,5 months, after which they are rotated. Previous major rotations of the Belarusian Armed Forces were recorded in December, October and July 2022.
