The Council of Ministers and the National Bank of Belarus have determined the limit of the issue of bonds of the Development Bank for 2022. It will amount to 2.6 billion rubles. This is a record size of the limit on the issue of bonds since the setting of the bank. The corresponding joint resolution No. 30/1 of January 18 was officially published today on the National Legal Portal.
Last year, the initial limit on the issue of the bank’s bonds was set at 570 million rubles. In June, it was increased 2.9 times to 1.665 billion rubles. In August, the Council of Ministers and the National Bank issued another resolution on the securities of the Development Bank, from which it followed that the emission limit was classified. According to the Republican Central Securities Depository, the Development Bank issued bonds for almost 1.4 billion rubles and 100 million dollars last year.
It should be noted that the record limit was set amid sanctions that limit Belarus and three state-owned banks’ access to credit resources in Europe, the United States and a number of other countries. Let us recall that this year, the government and the National Bank also determined the limit of the issue of bonds of OJSC Agency for Asset Management in the amount of 1.044 billion rubles.
