The Telegram channel «Posmotri, Brekhnya?» reported unconfirmed information that Horizon has terminated its rent contract with the private gymnasium Innovation.
One of the branches of the gymnasium for grades 1-6 and the kindergarten is located on Pugachevskaya street, 10 in Minsk. The building belongs to Horizon, which reportedly not only broke the contract of rent with the school, but also changed the locks on its own.
According to parents, there will be no assembly on September 1 in this branch. Moreover, it turns out that the school has not yet received a certificate of readiness for the new school year. The probable reason for the termination of the contract is the systematic non-payment of rent for the building. According to unverified data, Innovation’s total debt for rent is more than 800,000 rubles. And this is despite the fact that studying in this gymnasium is not cheap: in 2021, $5750-6325 per year.
But the most interesting thing is that the director and co-founder of the private gymnasium is Elena Mishchenko – the head of the Association of Private Educational Institutions in the Republic of Belarus.
According to Euroradio, in 2001 her mother Lyudmila Mischhenko was Lukashenka’s confidante. Yes, and Elena herself was repeatedly seen together with Lukashenka and officials at various meetings. For example, in October 2021 she sat at the same table with Lukashenka at a meeting «on introducing amendments to the Education Code,» in March 2020 she was at a meeting with the former head of the Ministry of Education Igor Karpenko, and attended a meeting with the Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
It is also notable that at the beginning of this year, another branch of Innovation opened on Fabritsiusa street, 4, instead of the startup hub Imaguru, with which Horizon Holding had unilaterally terminated the rent contract back in April 2021 without any explanation.
