Christine Honegger Zolotukhin, the new Swiss ambassador to Belarus, presented copies of her credentials to Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. As a rule, this means the actual start of the diplomatic mission in the country. Officially, it begins after the presentation of the credentials to the head of state.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Makei noted that the meeting took place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Switzerland. He wished the diplomat successful work to further expand bilateral ties.

The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the main areas of interaction.
