Maryia Kalesnikava has been transferred from the pre-trial detention center No.1. According to the headquarters of the politician Viktar Babaryka, the lawyers do not know where she exactly is.
It also became known today that Maksim Znak, who was tried together with Maryia Kalesnikava, was transferred to the Penal Colony No. 3 in the village Vitsba, Vitebsk district. Maryia Kalesnikava’s lawyers are trying to find out where their client exactly is.
We remind that Minsk Regional Court sentenced Maryia Kalesnikava to 11 years in prison, Maksim Znak – to 10 years. They were found guilty under three articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus — conspiracy to seize power, the creation of an extremist formation, and public calls for actions that threaten national security.
