Reform.io found out that the Minsk City Executive Committee sent a letter to subordinate government agencies, demanding to provide information about Ukrainians working there, «regardless of the date of their relocation to the Republic of Belarus.»
The purpose for collecting information is not mentioned in the letter.
It is notable that earlier the management of the Belarusian Railways used to collect similar information about their employees. Later, as the Community of Belarusian Railway Workers wrote, employees who were born in Ukraine were summoned to the regional departments of the KGB and questioned about their relatives in Ukraine and their attitude toward the war.
