PACE Commission to hold a meeting on constitutional reform in Belarus

The Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy of the Council of Europe will hold a meeting today entitled «Call for an inclusive national political process in Belarus.» It will be devoted to constitutional reform in the country.

During the meeting, speech by Simona Granata-Menghini, the Secretary of the Venice Commission, was announced. The Belarusian authorities will be represented by Andrei Savinykh, the Chairperson of the Standing Commission on International Affairs, House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Speeches by Anatoli Liabedzka, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s representative for constitutional reform and parliamentary co-operation, and Alexander Shlyk, Special Representative of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya on Elections, are also planned.
