Artsyom Sikorsky, the Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, spoke about the ICAO report on the incident with the Ryanair flight. According to him, now the Belarusian side is studying the ICAO report, and reveals inaccuracies that require adjustment.

In addition, the Director of the Department claims that the ICAO team of experts investigating the incident with the Ryanair aircraft in the sky over Belarus on May 23, 2021, concluded that there was no interception of the aircraft, forced landing or rerouting.

On Monday, January 18, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) released a report on the incident with the Ryanair aircraft in the airspace of Belarus. At the moment, the report of the organization is not freely available, it has been sent to States parties. According to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s adviser Franak Vyacorka, the report contains a list of facts and a chronology of the events of May 23. At the same time, it does not hold anyone responsible for what happened.

A meeting of the ICAO members will be held following the results of the report on January 31.
