The trial in the «Autukhovich’s group» case began in Grodno prison. In total, 12 people are under trial in the case. Mikalai Autukhovich and some other defendants are kept in separate cages.
In total, the defendants are charged with 15 criminal articles, including «act of terrorism» and «attempted act of terrorism,» which will soon have a death penalty punishment.
According to the Viasna HRC, Judge Maksim Filatau is reviewing the case. He sentenced Vitold Ashurak, who died in Shklou colony in May 2021 under unclear circumstances, to 5 years in prison. In addition, only two relatives of the accused were allowed into the courtroom, others wishing to enter the courtroom were not allowed.
