Ukraine will not resume electricity imports from Belarus from November 1. This was announced by Andrei Gerus, the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services, in his telegram channel.

According to his words, auctions for the sale of electricity were not held.

A few days ago, the RBC-Ukraine publication with reference to the results of the auction «Ukrenergo» reported that from November 1, Ukraine will resume electricity supplies from Belarus due to the shortage of coal at state thermal power plants.

Starting from May of this year until October 1, Ukraine had a ban on the import of electricity from Belarus and Russia. Later, the ban was extended until November 1.
