On July 9, Aleksandr Bogomaz, the governor of Bryansk oblast (Russia), reported an attempt to blow up the railroad tracks. According to him, an explosive device went off right in front of a freight train on the Robchik-Peschanka line. As a result, the windows of the driver’s cabin were damaged.
Later, pictures of consequences of the explosion were published in telegram channels. In them, you can see a number 2TE10UK-0388. According to this number, it is a main diesel locomotive, which belongs to the Belarusian Railways – to the Gomel depot TCh-8.

Later it became known that a Belarussian brigade was working on the locomotive damaged in the explosion. Gomel brigade of the depot TCh–8 indeed worked on the locomotive. It’s reported that they were slightly cut with shards.
In addition, a video appeared in telegram channels, where a conversation over the radio between the driver and the station operator could be heard. The driver was mentioned by the surname Girinov.
